Assalamualaikum uolls,

Tadaaa. Supposedly this blog im writting in english. But nevermind. Bertukar angin la pulok. Sebenarnya i xpernah berniat pun nk pergi UNGU mozaic tour 2015. My friend minat sangat dengan unggu so i teman la dia pegi sana. I berdua je. Malam raya plak tu esok dah nak raya haji sempat plak i pegi konsert bagai kan. Kan i dah cakap i teman kawan je. Maybe this is the 1st and last kot i pegi konsert..hehehe. I pun sengal memandai masuk pakai heel tu pasai apo? Memang i berkaki ayam la sebab dah sakit kaki. Kononnya la pakai heel tanak kasi orang pijak kaki i biar i pijak kaki orang. Hambek kau aku yang merana. Last-last berkaki ayam la berjam berdiri dengan heel 5 inci..wahahaha. Memang cari pasal. Pas balik plak drive manual. Masyaallah tak boleh nak gambarkan macam nak patah je kaki. The after that i trus heading to my hometown kelantan. Bole bayang tak? Bawak manual tau uolls dengan jalan plak jammed. Itulah kisahnya. K bye. Tu je nak cite. :p

What’s wrong with being sexy?

Architects have been voted the sexiest male professionals in a survey of women’s ideal partners.

The survey, conducted by the introduction agency Drawing Down the Moon, found that women favoured architects “due to the esteem associated with the profession”.

Architects are seen as being “balanced and rounded individuals who combine a creative approach with a caring, thoughtful disposition”, the survey found. It concluded: “Their ability to cope with pressure of work in a relaxed manner was also deemed to be a significant plus.”

Male architects beat stockbrokers, doctors, film directors and teachers on the top spot.

However female members of the profession fared less well and did not feature in the top 10 out of male preferences.

RIBA president David Rock commented that architects were probably unaware of their animal magnetism: “Architects were probably the only group on the list whose self-image is lower than their public image”, he said, but added: “Mind you, you have to question the veracity of any list that includes drama teachers”.

RIBA Architecture Gallery director Alicia Pivaro, who is married to architect Paul Monaghan, said she thaugt male architects were highly attractive: “Being married to the architecture’s Mr Sexy, I would have to agree.”

But she was surprised at the failiure of women architects to appear on the list. “All the ones I know are very sexy”, she said.

Men instead voted PR executives the sexiest profession for females, followed by actresses and journalists.

I guess architects are indeed sexy, hmm… are your lecturers sexy? Perhaps the right question would be is your boss sexy? hmm…. found this undated photograph of Mies Van de Rohe presenting his work with a female companion as a … .. as a… well, I have no idea why she is there but is she there to spice up the model or she is the lead designer?

Is Mies’s work sexy? Yes, I think so, for all its transparency it uses light and reflection to change and slowly unfold the space. The best of the buildings elicit a response like that the architect himself had on Dr. Farnsworth at their first meeting: “The effect was tremendous, like a storm, a flood or other act of God.” His interior spaces are legendary. They change with the time of day and the season. The shiny, reflective metals, the rich leathers, the tactile fabrics, the reflections from the glass radiate luxury and a Weimar noblesse and seductiveness. The polished metal curves of his Brno or Barcelona chairs have a sexiness about them. They beckon your touch. The one phrase that can be credited to him alone is “almost nothing.”

If Mies van de Rohe’s masterpieces are sexy then I guess his famous quote is sexy too.

Like all design, there are bound to be amendments and I would love to amend his quote from “less is more” to “less is sexy”.

SHoUld I StoppeD wrITTiNG or ConTiNuE wRiTTiNg???

I know that it has been so so long since I've updated this blog. I have no excuses for it... I dunno... I've probably hit some phase in my life where I start to question and consider many things.

I don't want to say that I've stopped blogging because I know I will never stop writing. I love writing when  i was in bad condition and have always loved to write since I was very young. And I do not really want to spell it in here that I will stop updating this blog because who knows when something might trigger my juices and these fingers will start typing. simply because I feel that I need more privacy in my life but sometimes i cannot kept all the burden my own but sometimes  I do not wish to share my deepest feelings about my personal life. And as much as I have kept telling myself that I do not need to explain all my personal life in here,sometimes I do feel that I should clear the air.

I am also trying to make myself update more regularly.

Too busy to be thinking about a glass of water

i'm always wondering when it comes to drinking 8 glasses of H2O everyday and guess why i doesn't listen the great advice? Yes. during classes,  excuses would be: oh, i was far too busy to be thinking about a glass of water. Or: oh, leceh lah nak carry bottled water everywhere dengan turun naik bukit lagi nak pegi class and my kaki selalu sakit-sakit sampai i dah tak pakai wedges pegi kelas...

The thing with dehydration is, it will catch up with you sooner rather than later. Lethargy. Headache. Malaise. Dry mouth. Mouth ulcers. Dry lips.

AsPiRaTioN BeCoMe BuRdEn

       i have had a varied visions of my future..before chose architecture actually i'm studying in engineering..it seem that i choose a wrong course.. so i've made a decision to study in architecture. throughout my university year i have nursed ambitious dreams of becoming great architect but in reality it was not just a design heaven but i must face; what i want to say is about a very "sakit hati" criticism as a process for final project. 1st year easy, 2nd year is okay..3rd year huh very burden..now i'm in a third year i feel like a crazy person..the time is precious but i keep changing and changing my drawing.. sometime i feel like "geram sgt kat" lecturer.. but what i want to say is the total mark is about 100% depend on lecturers because no final exam....warghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..tension + stress..tomorrow i have a final exam for subject "Architectural science" this subject more to services not as easy i only have 1 and half day to study because a lot of time i spent for design..the subject cover electrical, plumbing and disposal and waste management.. for one who read my blog please pray for me to be a "tabah person"..

CtiTiCism LiKE A hELL

only at 1 side maybe architects are sexiest... in a reality it is a really hard. for me architecture means dreaming up design that sometime it make me like an insane person or exactly called crazy..crafting models, rendering drawings, writing essays, enduring criticism.. oh gosh!! during this time it likely in the hell..i always be fire by lecture..but i must backup my design..
sometimes i feel a very bad condition and much more..a lot of time i must sacrifies especialy my bed time..i always "mengeluh" ..yesterday i already face submission drawing and hell criticism...sometime make me cry..i try to think positive.."as an architecture student i am looking forward to these fresh changes and challenges, thought no without small measure and trepeditation. only god knows how i feels.. 

Architect vs. Engineer vs. Doctor vs Lawyer

It seemed to me architects are loved by many, hated by few, but respected by all… 

Engineers on the other hand are immune to swine flu.

Lawyers had it worst, from rats to being a scum of the earth, not to mention crooks and thieves. Just like that old saying goes, it takes a thief to catch a thief.

Dentist are doctors too, are they not? We do address them as Dr.Name, right? Not MisterName. As for accountants, sorry to say that anything to do with maths are simply not sexy.

IsTaNa PaGaR RuYuNg

Adityavarman dipercayai telah menubuh kerajaan Pagar Ruyung dan memerintah di kawasan Sumatra tengah dari 1347 hingga 1375 dan menguasai perdagangan emas di sana. Beberapa artifak yang ditemui dari era pemerintahan Adityawarman ini termasuk batu-batu yang mengandungi inskripsi dan beberapa tugu-tugu. Artifak-artifak ini kebanyakkanya dijumpai di Bukit Gombak, sebuah bukit yang berdekatan dengan kawasan Pagar Ruyung moden, dan dipercayai telah berdiri sebuah istana di sana.

Menjelang kurun ke-16, selepas pemerintahan Adityawarman, diriwayatkan bahawa pemerintahan beraja berpecah kepada tiga. Mereka adalah "Raja Alam", "Raja Adat" dan "Raja Ibadat". Mereka bertiga dikenali sebagai "Rajo Tigo Selo" atau Raja Tiga Kedudukan.

Orang Eropah pertama yang memasuki daerah ini adalah Thomas Dias, seorang Portugis yang digaji oleh gabernor Belanda d pada masa itu Dia dikatakan mengembara dari pantai timur untuk tiba ke kawasan tersebutdan melaporkan, kemungkinannya dari cerita orang, bahawa terdapat istana di Pagaruyung dan pelawat perlu melalui tiga pagar untuk memasukinya. Dia melaporkan bahawa kerja utama penduduk tempatan pada masa itu merupakan mendulang emas dan pertanian.

Peperangan saudara berlaku pada tahun 1803 di antara puak fundamentali yang dikenali sebagai Kaum Padri dengan keluarga diraja Pagar Ruyung. Semasa konflik ini, ramai keluarga diraja Minangkabau telah terbunuh pada 1815 atas perintah Tuanku Lintau.

Pihak Inggeris telah menguasai kawasan persisiran barat Sumatra dari 1795 hingga 1819. Samford Raffles telah menziarahi Pagar Ruyung pada 1818, tiba ke sana melalui pantai barat, dan ketika itu telah dibakar hangus ketanah sebanyak tiga kali. Ia dibina semula selepas dua kebakaran pertama, tetapi ditinggalkan selepas kebakaran ketiga dan Raffles mendapati hanya pokok beringin/ waringin saja yang tinggal.

Pihak Belanda kembali ke Padang pada Mei 1819. Hasil perjanjian dengan beberapa orang penghulu dan waris keluarga di raja Minangkabau yang dibunuh, pasukan Belanda membuat serangan pertama mereka ke atas kampung Padri pada April 1821.

ISTANA SERI MENANTI

Istana Lama Seri Menanti ialah istana yang unik diperbuat daripada kayu. Dibina pada 1902 dan siap pada tahun 1908 kerana Istana Pulih telah dibakar oleh askar-askar Inggeris semasa mengejar Yamtuan Antah ketika berlakunya peperangan Bukit Putus. Istiadat perasmian istana ini telah dilakukan oleh DYMM Yang di-Pertuan Muhammad Ibni Almarhum Yamtuan Antah. Baginda telah bersemayam di istana ini sehingga tahun 1931 dan baginda berpindah pula ke istana baru yang dibina berhampiran dengan istana lama.

Istana ini setinggi empat tingkat. Pelan asalnya telah direka oleh dua orang tukang Melayu bernama Kahar dan Taib. Tukang Kahar telah dianugerahkan gelaran Dato' Panglima Sutan oleh Tuanku Muhammad kerana khidmat beliau. Pelan istana ini telah diperincikan semula oleh Ketua Pelukis Pelan, Mr. Woodford dari Jabatan Kerja Raya, Seremban dan telah diluluskan pada bulan November 1902 oleh Jurutera Negeri dan Residen British.

Istana ini mempunyai 99 batang tiang termasuk empat batang tiang seri yang panjangnya 67 kaki. Keempat-empat tiang ini telah diambil dari Bukit Pergai, Jelebu. Kayu-kayu lain diambil dari Bukit Tinggi iaitu jenis kayu penak. Keunikan istana ini ialah ia tidak menggunakan sebarang paku besi tetapi pakunya diperbuat daripada kayu yang dipanggil pasak.

Istana ini telah digunakan untuk upacara mengadap yang diadakan tiga tahun sekali. Pada tahun 1926, Pesuruhjaya Tinggi, Sir Lawrence Gullmard telah turut hadir dalam upacara tersebut.

Istana ini juga pernah digunakan oleh Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Sembilan untuk dijadikan Sekolah Menengah Agama Tinggi pada tahun 1959 sehingga tahun 1964. Kemudian istana ini dibiarkan kosong tanpa penghuni sehingga pada tahun 1992. Atas kesedaran DYMM Tuanku Jaafar Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman, istana ini dengan rasminya diwartakan sebagai 'Muzium Diraja'. Perasmiannya telah dilakukan pada 14 Julai 1992 bersamaan 14 Muharram 1413 Hijrah. Pengurusan Muzium Diraja ialah di bawah pentadbiran Lembaga Muzium Negeri, Negeri Sembilan.

Mulai saat inilah Muzium Diraja Istana Lama Seri Menanti telah bertukar wajah dengan mempamerkan koleksi-koleksi keluarga Diraja. Setiap ruang telah diisi tanpa mengubah bentuk asal istana bagi menerangkan fungsi ruang-ruang tersebut. Penambahan bahan koleksi Muzium dilakukan dari semasa ke semasa dengan kerjasama pihak istana.

In an adiabatic system (e.g. a system that does not give off heat to the surroundings), an exothermic process results in an increase in temperature.
In chemical reactions, the heat that is released is in the form of electromagnetic energy. The loss of kinetic energy via reacting electrons causes light to be released. This light is equivalent in energy to the stabilization energy of the energy for the chemical reaction, i.e. the bond energy. This light that is released can be absorbed by other molecules in solution to give rise to molecular vibrations or rotations, which gives rise to the classical understanding of heat. In contrast, when endothermic reactions occur, energy is absorbed to place an electron in a higher energy state, such that the electron can associate with another atom to form another chemical complex. The loss of energy within solution is absorbed by the endothermic reaction and therefore is a loss of heat. This is the physical understanding of exothermic and endothermic
reactions within solution.

The craft of ceramic tile manufacturing is extremely old. The Egyptians were using Nile mud to make tiles over 6000 years ago and were applying glaze finishes several thousand years before the Romans laid tile floors in Great Britain. Many of the floors are in perfect condition even today giving evidence of their outstanding durability.

Tiles may be compounded clay bodies consisting of clay, 30 to 35%, which is the plastic; flint, 10 to 15%, which is the filler; and feldspar, 45 to 50%, which is the fluxing agent that fuses the ingredients into a solid mass. Tiles are also made from one or more naturally occurring clays. They are either glazed, having a glassy surface fused upon their face, or unglazed, being composed of the same ingredients throughout. They may be classified as non-vitreous, semi-vitreous, vitreous or impervious, which indicates the degree of fusion. In the dust-pressed process, steel dies apply heavy pressure to a damp ceramic mix. In the plastic process, considerable more water is used and the clay is then shaped.

When tile bodies composed of various silicates are subjected to high temperatures, new complex silicates are formed. The result is a strong, hard product with non-fading colors. A prominent floor tile is the ceramic mosaic tile. This is the familiar small tile, an inch or two on the side, fully vitrified and usually unglazed. Pavers are unglazed tiles resembling ceramic mosaic but larger in size, usually three by three to six by six inches. Quarry tiles are unglazed, made from one by one to twelve by twelve inches. The word quarry comes from the French word, “carreau”, meaning a square or paving tile. Faience tiles have highly colored glazes, a rugged artistic appearance and come in a large variety of sizes.

In most countries a roof protects primarily against rain. Depending upon the nature of the building, the roof may also protect against heat, against sunlight, against cold and against wind. Other types of structure, for example, a garden conservatory, might use roofing that protects against cold, wind and rain but admits light. A verandah may be roofed with material that protects against sunlight but admits the other elements.
The characteristics of a roof are dependent upon the purpose of the building that it covers, the available roofing materials and the local traditions of construction and wider concepts of architectural design and practice and may also be governed by local or national legislation.

A Lesson To Be Learned

Today I have the class that’s make me trouble a lot. It’s very rarely I go back to my room without bringing souvenir from dedicated lecturer like Mr. Anwar. Design drawing class. In the line of that, Islamic study class owh it’s boring damm much man because I just learn about politic with a blur understanding……Hey i do study ok. That’s what i came for in this place and why the Malaysian tax payer won’t regret it. Well off to class i go (its 10am, see how dedicated i am)

Honey I’m coming……

First of all i want to say my gratitude to god for brinnging and end to a week worth of agony, secondly my thanks to those kind soul who help eased my suffering and for those arse-hole who barked at the wrong guy at the wrong time...... now that I’m back, I’m determined to make up for the lost time. Next on the line is photography class sees how excited I am. i really enjoy this class because the lecturer mr. Sharizan very sporting owh man… So how can student want missed his class. But curricular activity makes me feel tired like I’m holding a really2 big stone. muahahaha.......at last I’m rid off this ratched cold .honestly guys the stain on my pillowcase and futon is not mucous ok!, its not a sort of female material either.

I blame the weather.....

Its been raining since yesterday here and my mobility have been limited.....great, my world keeps getting smaller. In a positive mind-set the smaller the better, since i don’t need to put up with either ignorance or plain stupidity. But the downpour is giving me the blues.... or maybe it because the past couple of days had been soo wonderful that my soul can no longer tolerate happiness and gloom is the only way to achieve the balance within. Equilibrium..... Equilibrium..... Whatever laaaa oiiiiiii. Trying too figure out the cause of this misery, i came to realize that i haven’t wrote down anything yet. What the hell it’s my blog, MY BLOG..... And i can abuse it any way i want (insert British accent)....

Between the runny-nose and the annoying sneeze

I'm not introducing self-pity here but yours truly has been hit by a bad cold, so bad i can only speak with my nostrill. And since its not very hygiene, my communication is limited to one word syllable or continuous rambling. That 4 letter word has been put to good usage.
People must agree that blowing your nose and concentration weren’t made for each other and class is a nightmare. even the sight of interesting humors failed to raise the slightest interest, and everyone else is just dammmmmmm annoying (and vice versa).my head is spinning, my throat is sore, my muscle aches, my nose is leaking, my eye balls are boiling and i cant stop feeling sorry for myself. Chasing all those 'target' during my class day was a mistake, i admit......guess I’m just moody along that day.......ahhh, what would i give for hot chocolate or hot mocha.......
